I’m Dr. Lauran Kerr-Heraly and I help students and their families alter their lives through education.

I loved my time as a student in homeschool, community college, university, and graduate school. So much so that I never left school!

Currently, I’m a history professor and Innovation fellow at Houston Community College. You’ll find me in the classroom leading students through historical inquiry, in the maker space crafting projects, or playing in the escape room that I designed on campus. I am the winner of the HCC Teaching Excellence Award and the NISOD Excellence Award.

I lived in England for 7 years and I’ve traveled to 25 countries (with many more to go). Now, I live in Houston, Texas with my husband, daughter, and dog. We share a nerdy and adventurous life full of books and travels (or dreams thereof).
